i am a sandalphon self-shipper but i also ship sandalphon with other characters!! please do not take me writing the ship names a certain way as indications of preference for top/bottom LMAO. I don't really care about that. its about the mouthfeel. belisan sounds better to me than sanbeli. you get it? you get it.

belial/sandalphon

SIGHS.... belisan was a ship I latched onto when I initially played through what makes the sky blue II. I thought sandalphon and belial's brief banter was fun, and shipped it as an enemies to enemies who bone thing where sandalphon vents out emotions from being caged up alone for 2,000 years. then I slipped and started thinking about it as sandalphon using belial as a (poor) replacement for lucifer and belial goes along with it because he wants to pick sandalphon apart.

once what makes the sky blue III came out and it was revealed that belial was also head over heels for someone who didn't reciprocate (lucilius), I realized that the substitute "romance" could go both ways. belial using sandalphon as a replacement for lucilius at the same time belial is filling in for lucifer for sandalphon. I love the trope of person A uses person B as a replacement for person C, as well as insane unrequited pining, so belisan scratches that itch when I've framed it the way I have. I do think the two could have a enemies with benefits thing but I don't see it as any serious romance. I like it with a vein of angst in it where both of them are aware they aren't the actual person the other wants, but they keep continuing on with the relationship because they're getting some sense of closure out of it.

i also think sometimes about an au where belial and sandalphon get together while sandalphon is in his 2,000 year pandaemonium prison sentence. really I just want disasterphon and belial teaming up in an insane toxic yaoiz combo LMAO

lucifer/sandalphon

i flip flop between being really invested in lucisan and not caring at all. I think unfortunately for me to get invested in a fictional ship there has to be some kinda conflict around it. w/ lucisan, the main stopping block is purely that lucifer is Dead at the moment. I enjoy single sided eternal pining and that's one of the things that drew me to sandalphon in the first place, but I don't think that I would be nearly as invested in it if lucifer were alive and well and him and sandalphon were in a happy relationship

and yet... granblue keeps dripfeeding me snippets of lucifer showing nothing but pure unconditional love for sandalphon every time he talks about san and. I can't help but be moved a little by it. there is something to "guy who everyone loves only having eyes for the one person who doesn't think they are worthy of love", I just think the way that it is executed with lucisan isn't wholy satisfiying. I kinda wish that lucifer had more of a personality beyond just "loving sandalphon" and I am starting to get some bits of that as I go through transcending my lucifer summon, but I want more.

lucio/sandalphon

i'll be honest and say that prefer this as strictly onesided with lucio pining for sandalphon and sandalphon repeatedly brushing him off. we love endless pining!! it is really funny how when lucio shows up in an event hes so wifeguy towards sandalphon. who isn't having any of it.

thinking about this purely because I thought once that since lucilius has lucifer's body from the neck down after the what makes the sky blue series that sandalphon could put a bag on lucilius's head and pretend it was lucifer. crack shipping at its finest.

after seeing the lucilius fight in granblue fantasy relink I am realizing maybe the crazy insane gay hatesex that I initially though was belisan could be faasan. people have been making some wild fanart. is all.
